My Chinese Family

God has richly blessed me with a ministry to the Chinese people here in Arlington. They now call me a member of the family! The owner of the restaurant told me the other day, "If you want something to drink, get it yourself. You are at home now."
Ling and her family have taken me out to their favorite places on three occasions. Once there was Ling, Peter, Uncle Ping, Aunt Qing, and me.
Then it was Peter and Ling and I on two occasions. The last time was very recent. After we got to the restaurant, they told me it was their 5th wedding anniversary. I was so honored that they picked me to celebrate with. What a blessing!
English classes have been very enjoyable and educational, but it takes longer than one might think, especially for speakers of Chinese, which is a vastly different language.
These dear people have not yet accepted Christ. They come from such a background that it is difficult for them to grasp, especially with the language barrier.
The owner of the Buffet, Ronny, did let me know the other day that he cannot get the Scripture out of his mind that says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the father, but by me." God is definitely at work here.
I love these precious people and they love me. Please join me in praying that God will make the light come on and they will be saved. Time is short.

Psalm 126:5-6

Christine and Trista at the China Sea Buffet

Ling and I on the second outing. Her husband Peter manning the camera.
Ling, Qing (pronounced Tsing), Ping, Me, Peter
Outing number one
Outing number three. Peter and Ling's 5th wedding anniversary.
Some of the "appetizers" were exciting. This is the ice cold chicken foot, served with a generous supply of vinegar. Mmmmm...mmmmm.

Thanks for the update Bro. Sam, been wondering how Ling, Peter, and the others were doing! It is a great honor for you to be adopted into their family, can't wait for their adoption into God's family!!! KL

What a blessing to be able to reach even one of those precious souls. It looks like you have made friendships to last. You know we now have Chinese here in Croatia too.
BTW, that chicken foot was disgusting!!!
