GOD PROVIDES: My wardrobe began to thin out recently with broken zippers, torn pockets and lost buttons, and I needed some way to get the stuff fixed. After much consideration on how to locate a tailor here in Croatia, the thought came to me to just ask the lady who cuts my hair. So, today I stopped by and asked her if she knew someone who could help me. She said, "I sure do, let me call her for you". She called and they talked for a minute and she told the lady she would send me over. (Then I thought, How am I ever going to follow her directions to some place I've never been when there are few street signs over here?) Then, she stepped out her front door and pointed down the block and said, "See that big white door right there by the orange building. She's right there." Sure enough she was "right there". She has all my stuff and it will fixed by tomorrow! Thank you LORD!

Mindy McCready - Heaven or Hell?

Anytime a famous person's death is published in the news, the first thought I have is, Did their eternal soul go to heaven or hell? Admittedly, I only know that I am saved and going to heaven and I cannot possibly know about anyone else.
However, I do know from the Bible that worldly fame can't take anyone to heaven.

The only one who can save is Jesus Christ. By faith in Him you can be saved, guaranteeing you a place in heaven for all eternity, regardless of your popularity, talent, or wealth.

Did Mindy McCready ever place her faith for salvation in Jesus Christ and Him alone? Only she and God know that. The only thing that matters to her now is her relationship with Jesus Christ.

This is what the Bible says about how to be saved:

• John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
• John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
• Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
• Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
• Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
• Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
• Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
• Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved ...
• Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
• John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Being world-famous doesn't save anyone from Hell. Having a fortune in worldly wealth doesn't purchase a place in heaven.

God is not impressed with worldly fame, or great riches or professional talent.

God sent His only begotten Son Jesus to die on the cross to pay for Mindy McCready's sins. God offered her the free gift of eternal life, if only she would believe on Jesus Christ and call out to Him for salvation. God gave Mindy McCready 37 years to accept the free gift of eternal life.

Did she ever receive Jesus as her personal Saviour? If not, it is eternally too late for her.

But it is not yet too late for you.

Biblical Marriage

It is abundantly clear from Scripture that marriage is between one man and one woman. In the gospel of Mark (10:6-7), Jesus said, "But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;" Any arrangement other than one man and one woman is perversion.

We live in a world where the majority believes their own ideas should replace the Word of God as the new standards by which acceptable conduct is determined.  This is a grave error.  The Scripture points out in Jeremiah 17:9, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?".  And, in Matthew 15:19 we are told, "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:"  

Rejecting the clear teaching of Scripture in favor of the thoughts of their own heart, those who promote or condone marriage between two people of the same sex are deceived.

I stand on the Word of God as the supreme standard by which all conduct, creed, or opinion should be tried. The heart of man cannot be trusted.  Let God be true, and every man a liar.

Project Thessalonica

The LORD has given me the unique opportunity to visit the city of Thessalonica, Greece from 3/11 to 3/25 to assist in evangelizing this historic place. I committed to participate almost 1-1/2 years ago and now it is right around the corner.
Plane tickets are finally purchased after the airline web page timed out a half dozen times as I fought to translate and confirm each detail and as the bank put a temporary fraud prevention stop on my debit card. But thank the LORD it is finally done and I am set to leave on the 11th of March at 8:15 in the morning.
It is very exciting to be a small part of this year long effort to evangelize the city and see the LORD establish a Bible-believing church there once again. Many are participating from around the world, spending two weeks working with the local missionary, Bro. Brent Logan and his family.
It is my prayer that I can somehow be a blessing to them and be a bold witness for the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  I covet your prayers for me and for "Project Thessalonica".
