Do Catholics Worship Mary? - Sadly, yes they do.

Catholics are quick to say they do not worship Mary, but it is obvious they actually do.

Millions of Catholics all over the world pray to Mary expecting her to hear, understand, and somehow help. If Catholics expect Mary to be able to simultaneously hear millions of prayers in all the languages of the world, understand them all, and also have the ability to somehow help in answering them, then obviously they believe that she possesses godlike powers.

If Mary was to be a central figure of worship, why is she not even mentioned in the all the writings of the apostles Paul and Peter?

If Mary was to be a central figure of worship, why did Jesus say otherwise when a woman attempted to exalt Mary in His presence as recorded in Luke 11:27-28:
27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the
company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb
that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word
of God, and keep it.

If Mary was to be a central figure of worship, why is this never instructed in the Bible? Nowhere in the Bible is it ever said that we should pray to Mary. The Bible says instead, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, in 1 Timothy 2:5.

The Catholic religion instituted the worship of Mary. The Catholic religion also once outlawed the Bible. If you read the Bible, you know that worship of Mary is completely against God and His Word.

Jesus Christ willingly laid down His life on the cross to pay for the sins of the world. He is not willing that any should perish. His desire is that all would put their trust in Him for salvation and receive the free gift of eternal life. To think that He needs help or encouragement to answer prayers is an insult to His mercy, love and grace. To pray to any other than Him is idolatry and robs Him of His glory.

Gary Collins - Heaven or Hell?

Anytime a famous person's death is published in the news, the first thought I have is, Did their eternal soul go to heaven or hell? Admittedly, I only know that I am saved and going to heaven and I cannot possibly know about anyone else.
However, I do know from the Bible that worldly fame can't take anyone to heaven.

The only one who can save is Jesus Christ. By faith in Him you can be saved, guaranteeing you a place in heaven for all eternity, regardless of your popularity, talent, or wealth.

Did Gary Collins ever place his faith for salvation in Jesus Christ and Him alone? Only he and God know that. The only thing that matters to him now is his relationship with Jesus Christ.

This is what the Bible says about how to be saved:
  • John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
  • John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
  • Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
  • Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
  • Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
  • Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
  • Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved ...
  • Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
  • John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Being world-famous doesn't save anyone from Hell. Having a fortune in worldly wealth doesn't purchase a place in heaven.
God is not impressed with worldly fame, or great riches or professional talent.

God sent His only begotten Son Jesus to die on the cross to pay for Gary Collins' sins. God offered him the free gift of eternal life, if only he would believe on Jesus Christ and call out to Him for salvation. God gave Gary Collins 74 years to accept the free gift of eternal life.

Did he ever receive Jesus as his personal Saviour? If not, it is eternally too late for him.

But it is not yet too late for you.
