A Man Named Marko

Today in Croatia,  a 33 year old man named Marko awakened like any other day, and went about his usual routine.  As he made his way through the town square of Varazdin, every step bringing him a second closer to eternity, someone stepped in front of him and asked him a question.  Marko, with his imposing six foot frame, black leather jacket and sunglasses, suddenly lost all interst in wherever he had been going, and became concerned about his eternal destiny.
Marko already knew he was a sinner (like the rest of us), and after seeing some Bible verses, he agreed he was headed toward eternity in a burning hell.
Then Marko got to hear about the free gift of eternal life that is available to all who put their faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work of redemption.
In just a few minutes Marko, unconcerned about all the people walking all around, bowed his head right then and there and asked Jesus to save his eternal soul.
Say a prayer for Marko that he will grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that he will one day soon be stepping in front of others and asking them a question.

People Need The Lord

As we were in Budapest recently to return a visiting preacher to the airport, we went to TGI Friday's, so one of the missionaries here in Europe could get a little taste of home.
Our waitress was this precious lady name Juccc, yes Juccc. She said it is the Hungarian equivalent of Judy.

We had obtained some Hungarian gospel tracts from a missionary friend of ours, so we were able to give one to her. I cannot help but think that that one gospel tract may be her only opportunity to ever hear the Truth of God's Word that salvation is free by grace through faith.

We tried our best to be a blessing to her, and tell her it was an important message in that gospel tract.
I can't imagine growing up in a country where the Truth is not told, and where opportunities to be saved are so few and far between.

Thank God for the handful of missionaries in Hungary who are trying to reach the 10,037,637 Hungarians before it is too late.

Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. Matthew 9:38

Dear God, Please save Juccc's soul!

Glory to God!

Well Hallelujah!  We went out soulwinning this morning in the city of Varaždin, Croatia and encountered a young man named Neven in the town square.  Wouldn't you know it!  Neven needed someone to tell him how to be saved for all eternity.  Neven decided to quit trusting in his own goodness and start trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ, who gave himself to pay for all of Neven's sins.  Right then and there, in the town square, Neven bowed his head and asked Jesus to forgive his sins and save his eternal soul.  He decided it didn't matter what all the people in town thought.  He decided it only mattered what God thought. Let's all stand up and shout Hallelujah to the King of Kings!
My Croatian soulwinning partner also had someone get saved right there in town today.  I don't have his name, but God wrote it down in the Book of Life.  Praise the Lord. Amen.

In addition, I would like you to see some of the things I saw there in town today. Varaždin, like all of Croatia, is very beautiful and some of the sights amaze me.  As we walked through town I saw dates carved in some buildings.  As you can see from the photos, one building has 1783 while another had 1797.  Oh, and the one with the Roman numeral above the right side of the door,  that's 1656. Soulwinning opened the door that enabled me to come here and see these wonderful sights.

Rejoicing, Yet Grieving

Today, we hit the streets of Varaždin with gospel tracts in hand.  We passed out hundreds of tracts, seeking opportunities to share the gospel, and opportunities came.
I met the most precious young lady name Anita today.  At first she scoffed and gave me a testimony of good works.  However, after I showed her Romans 3:10 (As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:) and 3:23 (For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;) in the gospel tract, her demeanor changed and she began to pay close attention.
It is cause for rejoicing when you see firsthand the power of God's Holy Word - the power to tear down the false assurance someone has in their own goodness, and the power to convict of sin.   Anita heard a clear presentation of the gospel today!  She also seemed touched by the fact that a man would pack up and move all the way to Croatia to tell the story of Jesus to the Croatian people.
Anita was fearful to pray right there on the street, but assured me she would do so today.  I pray she does.  God forbid that precious young lady spend eternity screaming in agony from a lake of fire.
Anita, please please please call on Christ for salvation before it is eternally too late!

The words Anita saw on the gospel tract:

“Nema pravednoga, ni jednoga;"
Poslanica Rimljanima 3:10

Jer su svi sagrij ešili i ostali bez slave Božje,
Poslanica Rimljanima 3:23

Like a farmer ....

Like a farmer, we have much seed to sow.
Like a farmer,  there is much work to be done.
Like a farmer, we will disturb the area where we sow.
Like a farmer, we will rise early and work late.
Like a farmer, if we don't do it, it won't get done.
Like a farmer, we won't quit
Like a farmer, we sow and expect a harvest.
Like a farmer, we will depend on God to give it.

I love Croatia - IT'S FARMING COUNTRY!

God is going to save Croatia!
What is He going to do where you live?

Thank God for His precious promises in His book.  Psalm 126:5-6

Heaven is Rejoicing

Just a quick update.
At 3:30 this afternoon, Luka and Anita, both 16 years old, were gloriously and eternally saved in the town square of Cakovec Croatia.
Heaven is rejoicing and so am I.
Glory to the Eternal God of heaven.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
